The short version

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies unless you agree to them. We use Google Analytics 4 in “consent mode”: until consent is given it stores no cookie and no identifier on your device, and Google receives only cookieless, aggregated measurements. No advertising or tracking cookies are used at all. If you sign in to an account, a few strictly necessary cookies are set (see below).

What is set

• Strictly necessary: the hosting platform may set a short-lived cookie to route your request. It holds no personal data and expires when you close the browser.
• Strictly necessary: sign-in: set only when you sign in to an account, and needing no consent because they are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. better-auth.session_token (prefixed __Secure- on the live site) is your session; it is httpOnly, lasts 30 days and is refreshed when you use the site. A short-lived companion, better-auth.session_data, caches the session for 5 minutes. oh_signed_in is readable by the page, holds no personal data, lasts 30 days and is only used to show “Account” instead of “Sign in”. • Editorial preview: when our team edits the site through the content editor, the editor sets a cookie in their own browser only. Visitors never receive it.
• Analytics (consent-based): Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd). With consent it sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies (up to 2 years) to tell returning visits apart; without consent it sets nothing and IP addresses are truncated. We use it to see which pages and languages are read.

WhatsApp and email

Choosing to message us on WhatsApp opens WhatsApp’s own service, which applies its own cookies and privacy terms. Nothing is set on this site by that link.

Changes

If we add embedded media or any other service that sets cookies, this page and the privacy policy will be updated first and the consent control extended before anything loads.
